It sources luminaires and components from good makers around the world, tests them against Australian compliance standards, and — the part that matters on a live job — holds the whole range in Australian warehouses. Why we specify X-Light
Most architectural ranges are imported to order. That's fine at the start of a project and painful at the end of one — when a fitting is damaged on site, a room gets value-engineered, or the program moves left and the six-week lead time you budgeted no longer exists.
X-Light's advantage is that it's already here. One supplier covers recessed downlights, surface and ceiling fittings, wall lights, exterior and a full track ecosystem, and the vast majority of it ships from local stock. You can hold a schedule, match a defect years later, or swap an imported line for something with the same architectural look without adding weeks to the build.
The Zena downlight family is a fair example of the depth: 35, 55, 75 and 90mm apertures, roughly 3–15W, with phase, DALI, 1–10V and Casambi driver options, plus IP56, narrow-beam "Spy", wide-beam and fully adjustable variants — enough to detail a whole house or fit-out from a single range.
The Kanon range
Kanon is, in our view, the best GU10 spotlight range available in Australia — and GU10 matters more than it sounds. It's a replaceable lamp. The fitting is a precision-made barrel and yoke; the light source screws in and screws out.
The range covers a recessed spot, single, double and triple bar spots, a surface mount, and 1-circuit and 3-circuit track spots, in white or black, with interchangeable baffles in white, black, silver or gold and an optional honeycomb louvre for glare control. The build is genuinely good: threaded barrels, so re-lamping is a clean screw in and out rather than a fight with spring clips, and smooth, properly damped tilt and rotation on the adjustable heads.
Because the lamp is a standard GU10, a Kanon installation is serviceable and future-proof — you change a globe, not a luminaire, and you're never locked to one manufacturer's LED module or its colour drift over time.
We'd normally pair Kanon with Soraa VIVID GU10 lamps. Soraa's full-spectrum GU10 is the best replaceable lamp we know of for reliability and colour: 95 CRI with 95 R9, so reds, timber and skin tones read correctly, in 2700K, 3000K and 4000K. It comes in a proper spread of beam angles — 10° spot, 25° and 36° flood, 60° wide — and takes Soraa's clip-on SNAP lens accessories for beam spreading, linear spread, glare louvres and colour-temperature correction. Solstice stocks Soraa, so a Kanon-plus-Soraa package can be specified and supplied together.

Recessed downlights
- Zena — the core downlight family: 35, 55, 75 and 90mm, fixed and adjustable, with an IP56 option for bathrooms and covered outdoor areas, a narrow-beam "Spy" variant and a wide-beam version. Phase, DALI, 1–10V and Casambi drivers.
- Cast — 55 and 75mm downlights, a plaster-in / minimal-trim look for a flush ceiling.
- Slice — 80 and 100mm downlights, a clean architectural aperture.
- Core — 60 and 85mm downlights.
- Beam 66, Taska 75, Axle 100, Thimble 65 — additional recessed spots and downlights across a range of apertures and output levels, fixed and adjustable.
- Interchangeable softening, prismatic and optical lens accessories for tuning beam quality and glare on the downlight families.
Track and magnetic track
- Kanon — the GU10 adjustable spot system covered above, available for both 1-circuit and 3-circuit track.
- Rays track spots — 50, 66 and 72mm heads, integrated-LED, for 1-circuit and 3-circuit track, with honeycomb louvre accessories.
- X_Trac — a 48V magnetic track system: low-profile rail with spots, floods and linear heads that reposition anywhere along the track.
- 1-circuit and 3-circuit track in white and black — surface, suspended and recessed profiles, with the full set of live ends, connectors, joiners, L and T pieces, end caps and suspension kits, so a run can be specified as one system.
Wall — interior
- Chio — 200 and 300mm wall lights in white or gold, non-dim or phase-dimmable.
- Alune and Solah — compact architectural wall lights in white, black, brass, aged brass and bronze finishes.
- Level Uplight, Reed, BlocX — up/down and single-direction wall fittings for feature walls, stairs and circulation.

- Archie — an exterior family: Wall Down and a Pillar light for entries, paths and facades.

We're not a box-shifter. Our design team works across residential, retail, hospitality and commercial projects, and we're happy to be involved while fitting selection is still open — usually where we can add the most value.
We'll work to your drawings and run the calculations. Because X-Light is warehoused locally, we can usually consolidate the whole project consignment and dispatch it quickly, rather than staging it around an import shipment. Spec sheets, installation details and photometric files — including IES files for a Dialux or AGi32 model — are available on request.
